Charlie Goodchild

Physiotherapist

Charlie is the founder of Better, an experienced physiotherapist and lives his life by the motto “better never ends”. 

Working since 2010, in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Charlie has developed his broad skillset by spending time in sports medicine, private healthcare, occupational health and as a medical consultant in the insurance industry. Skilled in complex cases, persistent/chronic pain, exercise prescription/rehabilitation, sports injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. Charlie’s passion lies in helping people work through a challenging rehabilitation journey to make a return to sport or to achieve a goal that once seemed out of reach.

Charlie has worked in London for 10 years, building trusted relationships with some of the best orthopaedic and sports medicine consultants in the UK.

Charlie has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physiotherapy (2010) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc hons) degree (2008) in Sport and Exercise Science, both completed at University of Essex.

Working for The FA for over 8 years and spending time working with Saracens RUFC, Essex County Rugby and Barking Rugby Club have given Charlie a wealth of experience in Sports Medicine helping athletes return to play at the highest level.

Outside of work, Charlie enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, loves to read and will play any sport he has the time for, he played rugby for 15 years and since retiring, he mostly spends his exercise time running, cycling and going to the gym.
